El Donya 'the journey is the destination'
Finally the time has come. The start of a new -blanc page - in our lives. W've lived the last 14 years in Broome, Western Australia where we run an Egyptian Kebab Shop. Romani is from (Opper) Egypt and I (Ingetje ) am from Holland. This is the third time now we enter, on purpose, an empty blanc page. it's a choice to life live at the fullest, with challenges, expectations, adventures and it's ups and downs, like going 'off road'....
There comes a time in your life ( well for me this happened many times) where i say, 'Is this it?' And I challenge myself, but also I challenge my soulmate Romani, (w've been together now for over 33 years) and this time I said, let's hit the road, let's get a cool car, do it up, live in it and let's drive and see what it will 'give' us. When we found this ex-military car, just by coincidence, on an online auction and also 'won' the car, we knew the time had come.
This series of images is where we picked up the car in Perth and drove it back to Broome. We travelled for about 10 days and after many modifications did some testdrives in and around Broome. (July-October 2017)

MARKET
Finally we were on the road. We left Broome the 15th of November, kissed our daughter, her boyfriend and their two dogs goodbye and headed, early morning to Halls Creek. I really wanted to go off the bitumen asap and the goal was to camp on the Duncan Rd. which we reached late afternoon. We found a magic spot just after Palm Springs.
Here we drove from Broome (WA) to Carmila in Queensland.
